Thinking about "myth" (but bigger)

With the original prompt I gave myself during the play pages, that being myth, I was already being super vague and abstract. So, how did I make it more abstract for the fantastic four project? Answer: I looked at the mythologization of gender norms to create my head project. In sOcIetY, we tend to idealize a certain image of what you should be as a man or a woman, that being strong and masculine or dainty and feminine respectively. I wanted to expand on that, but for a long while, I didn't know how.

Randomly, in the middle of June at like midnight, I had a vision of what I could create to play with these themes --- internalization of norms and self-denial. I got the idea of drawing a woman that is being fit into traditional standards of masculinity by two figures that looked exactly like her. I hoped this would get the idea of internalization across.

Anyways, I worked on the outline for this thing very slowly and steadily, not wanting to burn out too quickly. By the end of June, I am still not done with the sketch. Nonetheless, I am very excited to see how this piece evolves.
